The water you see inside isn't always where the roof is failing.
Water can travel along battens, rafters, membranes and flashings before it becomes visible inside a property. That is why simply repairing the area directly above a ceiling stain does not always solve the problem — our approach is to inspect the roof properly and find the likely source before recommending a repair.
Where water is actively entering the property, our first priority is to help make the situation safe and weather-resistant where practical, before setting out the permanent repair required.

Where urgent, we prioritise temporary weatherproofing, then inspect the roof using the most appropriate method — external, internal roof-space, or drone imagery where suitable.

Explain & repair
We set out the visible issue, the proposed repair and any access requirements clearly, then carry out the approved permanent repair.
Temporary weatherproofing may stop immediate water entry, but it is not always the permanent repair. Where further work is needed, we will explain the recommended solution and provide the appropriate quotation before proceeding.

Repair it — or is it time to replace it?
Not every leaking roof needs replacing. Where a local repair is sensible and likely to provide value, we will say so. But if the covering has deteriorated to the point where repeated repairs are unlikely to be economical, we will explain the condition honestly and discuss re-roofing options instead.
Storm damage & insurance: If your roof has been damaged during severe weather, photographic evidence and a clear written description of the roofing work may help support discussions with your insurer. - Will my insurance cover storm damage?
- That depends entirely on the terms of your policy and your insurer's assessment. Where appropriate, we can provide photographic evidence and a written description or quotation for the roofing work. Your insurer decides whether the loss is covered.
- Do you charge for leak investigation?
- Our roofing quotations are free and no-obligation. If diagnosing a problem requires specialist access, extended investigation or a separate detailed survey, we will explain any applicable cost before arranging it. Where water tracks internally or more than one defect is present, some cases may require further investigation before the exact source is confirmed.
- Can you repair rather than replace?
- Yes, where a repair is technically sensible and offers reasonable value. If deterioration is widespread and repeated repairs are unlikely to be economical, we will explain why re-roofing may be the better long-term option.
