Surveys & Inspections

See the condition of your roof before you make a decision.

From standard roof inspections to drone-assisted surveys, Wear & Tear Roofing Ltd provides clear photographic evidence of roof condition so homeowners and commercial clients can understand defects, prioritise repairs and plan future work with greater confidence.

Evidence before opinion. Clear findings before unnecessary work.

Why Inspect

A clearer picture of what is happening above you.

A proper roof inspection removes unnecessary guesswork. Depending on the building and access available, our team can assess the roof covering, ridges, verges, valleys, flashings, chimneys, rooflights, rainwater goods and other relevant areas.

What you get back is a clear picture of condition you can act on — whether that leads to a repair, a maintenance plan or a written roofing quotation.

  1. Photographic Evidence

See the areas we have inspected rather than relying on a verbal description alone.

  2. Clear Findings

Understand visible defects, areas of concern and recommended next steps.

  3. Better Budgeting

Findings can support a clear written quotation and future maintenance planning.

  4. Safer Access Options

Drone technology can help inspect suitable roofs where conventional viewing is difficult, subject to flight conditions and restrictions.

Survey Options

Compare the inspection options.

How each of our four inspection types is best used, at a glance.

Pre-Purchase Inspection

Best for Buyers wanting roofing-specific condition information. Access Roof-level or drone-assisted where suitable. Photography Included where agreed. Findings Roofing-focused defect summary — not a structural survey. Next step Budgeting for repairs or further investigation before purchase.

Commercial Condition Survey

Drone Inspections — A Note on Limitations

Drone surveying is a valuable visual tool on large or hard-to-access roofs, but it does not always replace closer physical investigation where a defect needs it.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Are drone flights always possible?
No. Drone flights depend on weather, location, property access and applicable aviation restrictions. If a flight is not suitable, we will discuss another appropriate inspection method.
Do I get photographs?
Where photographic reporting is included in the agreed survey, relevant images are provided so you can clearly see the areas and issues being discussed.
Is a survey useful before buying a property?
A roofing-focused pre-purchase inspection can help identify visible defects, areas of deterioration and roofing issues that may require maintenance, repair or further investigation before you commit to the purchase. It is not a substitute for a full building or structural survey.
Can surveys be scheduled regularly?
Yes. Planned inspection programmes can be discussed for residential, commercial and multi-site properties where periodic roof condition monitoring would be useful.
