Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to quotations, surveys and roofing work carried out by our team. They sit alongside your written quotation, which takes precedence where the two differ.

Quotations
Quotations are free and carry no obligation. A quotation is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Pricing based only on photographs may remain provisional until an inspection is completed.
Surveys and access
You agree to provide safe access to the property and to inform us of any known hazards. Where scaffolding, highway licences or permits are required, this will be identified in your quotation.
Payment
Payment terms are stated on your quotation and invoice. Where a deposit is required for materials, this will be set out clearly in writing before work is booked.
Variations and hidden defects
Roofing work occasionally reveals defects that cannot be seen from the ground or from photographs, such as decayed timbers. We will stop, explain the position and issue a written variation for your approval before continuing.
Programme and weather
Start dates are estimates. Roofing is weather-dependent and we will not work in conditions that compromise safety or workmanship. We will keep you informed of any change.
Guarantees
Workmanship guarantees are confirmed in writing on your quotation and completion documentation. Manufacturer product warranties are provided by the manufacturer and depend on correct installation and, where applicable, maintenance.
What guarantees do not cover
Guarantees exclude storm damage beyond design tolerance, third-party interference, accidental damage, structural movement, blocked gutters caused by lack of maintenance, and pre-existing defects outside the agreed scope.
Cancellation
Where you contract with us as a consumer away from our premises, you have 14 days to cancel from the date of agreement. If you ask us to begin within that period and then cancel, we may charge for work already completed and materials already ordered.
Liability
We hold public liability insurance and carry out work in line with current standards and manufacturer instructions. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Wear & Tear Roofing Ltd is based in Bristol and works across the South West and nationwide.
